Factorial is an all-in-one HR platform for managing time, talent, payroll and finance. I led a platform-wide redesign called Factorial One to unify the product surface and help teams ship faster.
Inspired by Notion’s block model and Shadcn’s UI primitives, we set out to streamline the navigation and dozens of components that had fragmented over time. At its core, it encouraged designers to embrace constraints as the key to a consistent user experience: instead of designing ad-hoc interfaces for every surface, we solved more problems with a few shared building blocks.
The redesign shipped as the biggest design update since the company’s founding, reaching 1M users across 20 countries, and set the path to scale 30 products without reinventing the wheel for every new feature.
