Movo was a scooter-sharing service started inside Cabify in 2018. It launched as a separate app and brand because tensions with the taxi industry were high at the time, and Cabify’s fleet was often vandalized and even burned.
I joined part-time to help launch the first version, leading the user experience and collaborating with Manu Gamero on the UI and Oscar García on the brand. The app borrowed a few patterns from the Cabify driver app, including the “swipe to start” interaction, and made them fit a simpler flow for unlocking scooters.
The service operated as a separate app until 2021, when it was integrated back into the Cabify app as part of a broader redesign.
