Yaxi was the first ride-hailing app in Mexico, even before Uber launched there. I was an early user and made an unsolicited redesign of the app after becoming frustrated with the UX. I sent it to the founders and they hired me the next day as the first product designer. That design shipped and stayed live until Yaxi was integrated into the Cabify app a few years later.
